Ok,so if i slide the plate foward and the housing foward what do i do with the star wheel???. Also if you want minimum smoke and max hp what do you do or is that not possable???something like ,( Plate&housing slid foward=HP=Smoke ) or... something like that  Sorry im a slow learner;) hope you guies don't mind all the questions,Thanx Russell

just filling in your equation ... assuming you're starting with a 215hp motor.

Plate&housing slid foward=60HP=Smoke

from previous stats ... generally speaking, on our motors, torque =~ 2. 2 x hp

gotta love free hp & torque Oo.

smoke

Cowboy up why dont you want any smoke what is the point of turnign it up if you dont want any smoke, just wandering, but you could add propane to minimize the smoke and still get plenty of power, smoke doesnt allways mean power but most of the time it does.

He doesn't have to add propane to minimize smoke. All he has to do is run the star wheel back. Propane is up there with nitrous its designed for high horsepower trucks, not everyday pullers/drivers.

smoke

Propane can be used at any hp levels but has a more noticealbe affect on higher hp levels, but sliding the plate and housing forward and the star wheel backwards really defeats the purpose of moving the housing.

so should i turn the star foward or backwards??? will it make the egt go sky high???

towards front of truck = smoke

towards firewall = less smoke

The "starwheel" won't hurt your EGT's, but you will notice a difference in EGT's when you slide your plate.

They WILL come up a lot quicker. Sounds like you have a guage already so just keep an eye on it, shouldn't be to bad. I ran with my factory plate full forward for 2 months before getting my #10. :D

so if i turn the star wheel for less smoke does that =less power??? Alsoi have a boost controller to turn up the boost . Right now the truck boost 23-25 lbs right now, when i increase the fuel what should i increase to ???Thanx:D Russell,

What do you have him beat by?? I hit 50 one time, off a stock HX35-12, and grenaded it at 49 a few days later... . if you have more than that from a stock turbo, I would not be bragging, rather looking to buy a new one when that one grenades!

Stock?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!:D

See my signature, I'm Piersefied... Oo. I know I won't be bragging when the head gasket waves goodbye, but for now...

Hit 50 psi once, and had visions of turbo parts breaking! I really need to back the thing off, as I know this is WAY off the map for a stock 35. On the other hand, if it should 'happen to just break' that would be as good a reason as any to get a PDR 40, wouldn't it? Oo. Of course, my truck would be grounded until I could come up with the cash, which would take almost all summer... .

Hmm, new tires or new turbo?

boost

I really dont know what kind of boost you would get from a stock plate I didnt get gages until I changed plates but my guess with the stock plate full foward somewere beteeen 25-28lbs of boost.
