csnyder--you call BS all you want, but your suppliers don't have access to the pump--they will have to buy them from one of the 3 companies that sell them or from one of the two guys that are selling them for two of the companies---plus why do I have one coming????

Chris, if in fact there is such a thing as a monster then do tell which companies are selling them... . until then Im calling BS.

Dave's Diesel, North East Performance Diesel and East Coast Diesel---and

Travis Kropp (cummins08 on DieselRam.com & GSM01 on Competition Diesel Forums) his phone # is 570-772-5519 is selling them for East Coast Diesel--you can tell him I gave you his # ---

AFarmer here on the TDR can get them also---his website is Welcome to Farmboys Diesel

Northeast Performance Diesel Diesel - For all your diesel upgarde needs mentions them on his site

you'll have to call Dave's Diesel for info--- Daves Diesel - Diesel Injection Service & Performance Diesel Products

your BS ends here :) ..... chris

I liked Don M's post:

Years ago we started a project to build a better VP pump. Reliability issues are a major stumbling block. If a guy wanted one to compete with and use one in a very limited fashion, perhaps it could work. Im talking about a few hundered feet on a sled pulling track or a handful of drag races. This is not a statement about their pump, but rather our pump we build 6 prototypes of.

We did not take it the final step and spend even more money to try and squeeze out more reliability as the cost was already in the thousands per pump. Perhaps these guys have it figured out??

Lets see some dyno runs, long term reliability testing, and comparison data to the current stable of VP pumps.

Machining tolerances are measured in . 0000" digits on some of the internal moving parts. Adding size to these already stressed parts is a tough row to hoe.

Don~

YUP - these new pumps ARE for competition - and different expectations apply to competition parts - but even competition guys want confidence that they WILL get from one end of the track to the other with reasonable reliability and repeatability. It will be interesting to see if the new VP's can meet those expectations - rather than ending up as yet another disappointing black eye for the VP-44... :(

I dont see anything that shows factual numbers in any of those threads. Someone also mentioned that Haisleys are in on it too and I know Patty would have told us if they were doing something.

BTW. . Industrial Injection has been building the same "monster" for a few years now so to me if there is any truth in this monster VP it must be a copycat of some sorts. We have a tested VP from II that put out 146 HP over stock in a 2000 5 speed truck. Take this info with a grain of salt but we shall see who pulls out first at IRP!

Csnyder--call Ben at North East Performance Diesel and ask him about what you call his "non factual dyno #'s" as he's the one who originally posted the info on the truck that swapped in two pumps and dyno'd ---makes sense for him to lie so that his business will suffer when he sells these pumps and it wreaks havoc for him---same goes for Dave's Diesel, East Coast Diesel, Gus and Travis----yep it's a big fat lie to maybe to make a couple of grand before the lies are exposed, because they aren't going to sell alot of these in a small time frame ---yes they want their personal and business reputation run through the mud here shortly, because the truth is coming out soon----

I feel bad for JMumbauer as he had only posted 4 times then a flame breaks out. Now he has decided it is the VP, got one on order, but can you imagine if your truck broke down. You was trying to get help and this happened. After all this is the 911 area, could make someone decide TDR was not the place to go for help!!! Kinda sad but that is just my humble and probably unnecessary opinion.

JMumbauer while I was of no help please let us know if the new VP fixed your problem and maybe we can help without flame next time.

I didnt know there was a flame in this thread. I was just calling some friendly BS on a post about a monster VP and dont have any problems with any replies I recieved on here. :-laf Nothing personal here... just wanting to see the facts.

Sorry my error will be more careful with my thoughts in the future and will not respond in the future unless I have something constructive to say. Again Sorry!!!!

Dont sweat it Bob! I understand its hard to read emotion into ones ramblings on here so I never take anything seriously unless someone flat out calls me a name.
