Please help identify LS pin

I have a Dana 80 drw that I am rebuilding. It is a power lock diff but I have a 1 piece cross shaft. I can’t find any information anywhere that even remotely mentions a 1 piece cross. (below)

My question is can I get a 2 piece rebuild kit (like below pic) for an 80 power lock and everything match up?

The D-80 used a Power Loc and a Track Lok, they are different. Here is some good info. It appears like the Track Lok uses the one piece pin/cross.

is definately a power lock. It has the v-pin. That’s what is so frustrating. I can’t find any where that says anything about a 1 piece power lok cross pin. That’s why I wondering if the 2 piece would work



here is the built tag that was on it. Can’t find any numbers on the axle tube. Need to take a wire brush to it. I’ll do that when I get off work

Sorry if im being thick headed. I’m just trying to make sure I only have to do this once.

Thanks guys. Just got off the phone with Randy’s and the Dana 70 and 70hd cross pin are 2 piece. The 80s were 1 and that piece is discontinued and a 70 won’t fit on the 80 cage. So looks like I got to get a new carrier.

Time to upgrade to an Eaton Tru Trac. I did and love it. Pricely but worth it in my opinion. Got fed up and tired of getting stuck.

Might be my next step. I actually found one for about 100$ new. Going to see what it looks like when it gets here. I’ll update whenever I get a chance to look at it
