Guys please help me out my truck is leaking fluid... I found where it is leaking... it is on the engine near the oil filter. The tube has a red colored peice on it about 1 " long and it has a silver kind of knurled peice close to where it is tightened in the motor. it looks like there is a steel braded line where ever it goes... anyone know what im saying/????? PLEASE HELP IM SCARED! :eek: :(

XcX, that sounds like the pressure line for the turbo if it's leaking from the steel braided line. That line is under full oil pressure a leak there will turn bad very fast.

figured out its antifreeze... ... . thanks guys...

y-knot..... please dont reply to any of my threads all you do is bash me i dont like it. THANKS. .

havent yet i am calling the dealer to see when they can take it in... looks like its getting worse... WHAT IS THIS WHY DOES MY TRUCK HAS FORD SYNDROME :{

Take a couple of deep breaths, I'm about to help you fix your truck. The leak is on the passenger side of the block coming from the block heater. Mine was a little tough to tighten due to the cord attached. I called the dealer and got the torque spec and tightened it myself. There have been several that had this problem. Mine was barely finger tight. If you do a search for "coolant leak" in the 3G you will find mine and several others. If you don't feel comfortable fixing it yourself have your service dept. do it.

Mine was on about the third day I owned the truck, I just about pi**%ed myself when I found a big puddle on the garage floor! Hope I helped. CKruse

CKRUSE- i just went out to my truck and tightened it... it was so loose that when i put the wrench on it to get a good position it moved :rolleyes: :mad: . It was VERY LOOSE, glad i tightened it and didnt have to waste time a the dealer. Thank you very much! And for those nimrods who work at the plant and didnt do this right... YOU SUCK :D
