I am having a surging at idle. Isn't very noticable on the tach but if you listen to the engine, it is very noticable. Does it when warm and with or without the A/C on, in gear or out of gear, clutch in or out. Only at idle speeds though. Also seems like I am losing power and getting more smoke on my tailpipe. Air filter is good and I don't think that would be the problem beings it does it at idle. I will check to see tonight if it does it when not warmed up but it has been doing it since it hit 35,000 miles and ever since for the last 900 miles everytime I let the truck idle it surges. The surging sounds like a rattle like it is real quickly getting more fuel and then reducing fuel kind of like when you step on the throttle.

Had a new fuel filter about 15,000 miles ago maybe it is time for another new one.

Any and all opinions are appreciated as the surging makes my truck sound like a peice of crap when idling. vroom-vroom-vroom

kind of like that.

Please help me out here.

Thanks

Dane

New Stuff

Playing with my ride and noticed some new things just now.

Used to be when I stomped on the throttle idling ther was little smoke. Now i have a whole bunch more. also when to the floor in 2nd gear and third gear i have smoke coming out of the tailpipe visible in the little convex mirror. never had this before!!!!!

I am kind of worried about this. Please ad your input.
