What do you need done? Do you need a extra guy to help you? I could be available, but depends on where and what needs done. let me know. :D

i tow 30 ft toy hauler, and i was told that i can do work to the transmission to match the engine?

i called around local transmission shops and some people tell me to start with shift kit for about 300$, some tell me to do the converter, one place told me to reset some kind of sensor that tell transmission the real speed of the truck so it shifts right, me having 305s i thought that maybe thats is the way to go and that job can be done for about 100$

so i just dont know where to start

or should i just but a beefed up transmission from ddt for about 3300$

what is the right way to go

Contact DDT or ATS and see if they have an affiliate shop in the area. I pull a 34' at 13K# and I did the transmission first at 33K. Had a pan full of disk dust! Had to do a complete rebuild when I went for my upgrade at ATS in Colorado. 50K now and nothing in the pan but oil.

If you are going to upgrade, the transmission has to be the first, in my opinion.

Good Luck!

Dont overlook Goerands in Iowa, Dave did a great job with the valve body and the torque converter pretty bad a$$ to. He is a bit more reasonable and has a great warrenty and customer support

I'll second the Goerends comment. I pull, haul, and haul @$$ with mine and it goes great... never and I mean NEVER misses a beat.....
