As you can see in my sig i Have an 05 truck. This all happened a few minutes ago. Earlier today i dropped my TITAN tank in order to fix my fuel float as it was stuck. I fixed the problem with the float within 5 minutes after removing it from the tank. This is the only reason i dropped my tank. I had a few gallons left in the tank after i dropped it so i figured i would pump thremaining fuel into my jeep. After this i put it all back together and put the tank back up under the truck. I went down and got 5 gallons in a can and poured it into the tank and it fired right up. So i backed the truck out of my shop and put it in park. Then all of a sudden it dies on me. The fuel gauge said i had just above the empty mark. I went down and got 5 more gallons and poured into the truck. I now have 1/4 of a tank on the gauge and it still will not start. I had someone else crank it over and i checked to see if there is fuel coming out of the bottom of the fuel filter and there is some that comes out. It does not pour out of the filter but it does trickle out. I have tried to start the truck several times and all it does is crank. It will not start at all. Please help me!! I do not want to have it towed to the dealer.

If you haven't... try a "bump" on the starter but don't keep cranking, listen and wait for the in tank pump to run and then stop. After it stops do it one more time and then after that try starting.

Sounds like you got a slug of air.

no pump

I can't even hear the pump cycle in the tank when i turn the key. I checked the fuse and it looks good. There is a fuel pump relay but there is no way to see if it is good or not.

I know the in-tank pumps are very quiet, so it's possible that it's running and you can't hear it.

However, the fact that you recently had the tank down and apart, there's a good chance you somehow managed to disconnect the fuel pump. I'd drop the tank again and power on the pump to see what happens.

Don't panic - I doubt it's anything major. Probably a broken wire or loose connection.

I was thinking maybe he has a kink in the fuel hose on top of the tank he said it started and dies. he drained the fuel filter housing. I would try to feel around to see if I could feel a bend in the hose slowing or stopping the fuel flow from tank to filter

dealer

Hey guys the truck is at the dealer today and they are working on it. I will know more tomorrow. It is still under warranty as far as I know.

module

Well, I got a phone call from the dealer today and I will have the truck by the end of the day hopefully. They are replacing the whole entire module. All it is costing me is a little less than 500 bucks. I was told that it would not be under warranty as DC would just send it back as the top of the module where the harness plugs in is broken and epoxyed together. DC will see this as abuse and refuse this for warranty work. I guess i should have been more careful when i dropped the factory tank 2 months ago. I have learned a hard lesson from this. I just don't understand how the plastic piece surrounding the electrical prongs where the harness plugs into being broken would affect the pump working at all. It has worked fine for the past two months!! Thanks for the quailty of engineering DC!!

I'm not sure I would fault Chrysler, LLC's engineering if you have swapped out the tank for an after market one and banged up the module...

Let's be fair. If the tank had never been changed, the module would still be just fine and would have lasted longer than it did.

Lesson's Learned: If you modify your truck, you become your own warrantee station.

point well taken

I know I shouldn't have dropped the tank in the first place. I am responsible for my own actions, yes I know. I am my own warrantee station as long as I can fix it myself. But if I can't I usually have someone help me or if I am really desperate I will go to the dealer.
