P0148 - High Pressure Common Rail Checksum
Set condition: a deviation between the fuel pressure check point and the actual fuel pressure.
Possible causes:
-Fuel leaks
-Fuel control actuator
-Fuel pressure sensor
-Cascade overflow valve
-Check valve damaged or blocked
-Fuel return line obstruction, damage, or debris
-Lift pump flow
-Air in fuel system
-Leaking fuel injectors or high pressure connections
-Pressure limiting valve
-High pressure fuel pump
P0541 - Low voltage at the #1 intake air heater relay
Set Condition: When the intake signal from the #1 intake air heater does not match the signal from the #1 intake air heater feedback.
Possible causes:
-Loose connection
-Intake air heater relay
-Signal circuit open from relay to ECM
-Signal circuit shorted to battery negative
-ECM
For P0148 I blame your fueling box. Remove it and the problems will disappear magically. If I had a nickel for every time someone with a fueling box got this code I'd be very wealthy.
For P0541, I'm not sure whether your fueling box has any influence on the grid heaters. You'd have to contact their tech department to find out.
I hope that helps.
