can someone give me some sound advice so i can shut up about this i need better fuel mileage out of my 600. i would like to keep my warranty and it has been suggested on here that i switch out the ecm with a 555 really the only suggestion was that will it work and is there any other options

Changing the ECM will not work. What milage are you getting. Keep in mind that you have one of the worst combinations for trying to get high milage from a truck: DRW, 4X4, auto, and Patriot Blue.

i am getting 12. 5 to 13. 5 my old truck an 01 same every thing except 01 had 6 sp. got 15. 5 same way of driving. and my buiness partner get 15. 5 to 17. 5 out of 555 with 35in. tires driving like a mad man

Just have to keep your foot out of it if you want more that 13mpg. Have same rig as you except it is white. Got 9K on her and getting 16. 7mpg on level land with no wind roll'n at 1700 to 1750 rpm. (about 63mph) and that is hand calculated on 2 fillups. Hit 70mph and the overhead drops 2mph to 15 mpg. Amazing that the overhead and hand calculated are close. Get around 13 around town. My goal is 18mph which I think I will hit after time.

Loose the cat and replace the restricted OEM muffler with a full flow muffler of you choosing. It should help some.



Also check air and fuel filters for dirtiness.
