I am trying to install my phat shaft 62 that I got from industrial injection. I took the 2 stud pieces that came with the turbo (the ones that have the allen wrench hole in the end) and put them in the back two holes in the manifold flange. I cannot get anything tool: wrenches, wobly socket wrench joints, etc. on the back bolt, (the one toward the front of the engine). There is no way of getting on that tap that I can tell at all. For those of you who have installed this turbo on their 3rd generation, please tell me how you all got to that tap to tighten it up or what you done for those bolts to bolt the turbo to the manifold flange. I'm about to give up  . Anyway I'm going to go off line and take a shower and collect myself for a few minutes and I'll check back in a later.

Thanks

Chad

i installed a sps64 myself about a month ago. it was a PITA! those back studs are almost impossible to get at! i ended up removing my manifold and bolting it up on the bench. once it's bolted back on you will need a 10 or 11mm swivel socket to get that back oil drain bolt on. i feel your pain! my ribs were brused up real good from leaning over the battery to try to get to those back studs! you will be impressed once you get it on. remember to fill the top oil inlet and spin the impeller manully to draw in the oil. then crank the motor without starting untill you get a steady stream of oil out of the supply line before hooking it up. once all bolted up start it up and let it idle at least 5 minutes! good luck!... . james :D

Thanks, I'm going to call brady after while and see what he says I'd hate to pull that manifold after getting it torqued down. but since I'm here I'll ask you where do those 2 studs go that came with the turbo? I put them in the back because with the factory studs the wastegate actuator wouldn't clear the motor mount.

I Ended using up a regular combo wrench to tighten mine when I installed my B1, I had to use the closed end upside down(handle angled up) and had to take the oil inlet line off to get me room to tighten it(1/8turn@ a time)
