I purchased a rear PML cover from Genos garage for 179. 95. I put it on this weekend and really like it. Have 60K on truck, this was my 2nd change and oil looked fine. Mobil 1 75-90 synthetic both times now with no limited additive.

I re filled with Mobil 1, added 4 quarts then checked distance with short end of allen and it was barely on. I added 450 mL more and it was close to 1/4 off hole. Added rest of quart and dribbled a bit out.

Things I like -

Magnetic drain plug at the bottom.

Fill hole at the top that is EASILY poured into.

Level check hole big enough to stick your thumb into and seems to be pert near close for filling.

Things I do not like-

fill and level holes are capped with 5/16 allens but bolts & drain are all metric. Had to get up to get standard allens out. Sheez.

No sensor pre tap. Not sure this is worth $90 for Mag-Hytec though. I do not have a sensor but if I get one I will drill and tap it myself.

Everything buttoned up nice and does not leak after 2 days. I was a littel curious about 20 ft lbs torque spec on each bolt but I used 224 as recomended so we will see. With the drain plug it will not come off again unless I tap anyway.

I am pleased and recomend it.

8mm didn't fit? 5/16" = 0. 3125", 8mm = 0. 3149"... only 2. 4 thou difference. . ?
