PO541 code fix

My 08 3500 had the check engine light come on the other morning. Got the PO541 code and could not find a fix via a forum search. The manifold grid heater solenoid is right next to the passenger side battery and the small wires run underneath the battery box. Here at our new place we have mice,packrats,etc. and the little *******s ate the wiring between the battery box and inner fender. I couldn't see it until I removed the inner fender well and looked up there with a flashlight. My wires were brown with a black stripe,and brown with a yellow stripe. I used a soldering gun and heat shrink and new wire to complete the fix and covered the whole wiring loom. This wont be everyones fix for the code,but it fixed mine. Also my scan tool would not reset the MIL until the fix was done. Hope this helps somebody else.

Why i keep 2 cats around the house... the calico brings me dead mice and voles constantly.
