Who's done this?

Combo Generator/Stick Welder machines?

My WAVE came with a AAA Mag-light as part of the belt pouch ensemble. The light is as indispensable as the Leatherman tool!! I never leave home without it. I’m surprised that there isn’t a “You know you’re a redneck if…” for us folks that “Carry” :-laf :-laf

I have a Gerber 800 right now. Never liked the Leatherman, at least when they first came out years ago because when you used the pliers, the open side of the grip was out and uncomfortable. That being said, I have broken blades, screwdrivers, and the carbide wire cutters on this and a few other Gerbers. Don't know if it would have been different with any other brand. I'm a park ranger and use the heck out of the thing, from hammering nails to cutting barbed wire. Carry it on my belt with some sort of 3 L. E. D. flashlight. Also goes hunting with me. I have one of the little Leathermans on my keychain.

I also carry the Kershaw multi-tool. Locking pliers rock!. In addition to that I have a Swiss Camper from Victorionox on my keychain (a little bigger than your usual Swiss keychain).

I always carry a Leatherman Wave. I use it every single day. Sometimes, I carry a 4" Buck knife, but usually the Leatherman covers everything. I lost the first one, and replaced it in a week. I love it!

I never had a gerber 800, but I really like the first gerbers, when you go to squeeze something with those pliers and it slips and pinches the palm of your hand, So then you try it all over again and again it pinches your hand, enough to make you put it away and get a real tool

I have had a Gerber multitool and a Buck "Bucktool" for years, with both I was pretty happy at first but over time became annoyed with them. The next time I will buy a Leatherman.

The Gerber is very stout, has a tendency to pinch the living snot outta my hand. Another gripe is the brushed stainless steel finish, it spotted with rust within a few months after I got it. The Bucktool is well built, but they outfoxed themselves with the handles. The way they fold is different from the others, when you squeeze them to grip something the meat of your hand makes them start to fold. Overall the Gerber is the handier of the two, the Buck has shown zero rust in the same conditions as the other one but the handles make it a non-starter IMHO.

My daily carry knife is a Case trapper with damascus blades. I have had it for 15 years or more. I've had a variety of trapper knives since I was a kid (I am a knife nut) and always seemed to end up carrying one of them as they are so comfortable in the hand. For "other" purposes I carry lock-back knives, carried a Buck folding hunter on my belt from 9th grade until about 5 years ago when the people in the office started getting paranoid. "Oooh! He has a KNIFE!" :-laf

ya kinda funny how some people are freaked out about a knife. I have carried a 110 buck hunter for 15 years then went to the leatherman super tool then last christmas I got me a leatherman 300 model (i think). It was sweet with a philips, straight driver, cariber hook with beer bottle opener and a small 3 in blade, lost it 2 weeks ago. Now I pack the buck workman that seems ok but only till I can get another leatherman 300.
