I live in the country, and my wife's water broke. We loaded up in the truck and off we go! I called local police on cell phone and told them BIG RED truck comin in haulin tail. They said come on in that area officers would be in informed to help, not pull over. One officer meet up with and tried to lead. After getting to hospital officer said WOW, whats under the hood, I could hear you and you were crawling up my bu**! Almost started talking trucks,wife screamed in pain, back to baby! Most cops are cool, around here. I have 2 girls and now a little buddy! When I was racing to hospital it was soooo cool being able to let it eat through town and get away with it. On corners I'd shift down and rever to 3100 and be all over that cops tail. He later said that he was in the throttle pretty deep because he thought I was going to pass him! Plus he said the night had been boring and a little speed got the blood flowing.

I CAN vouch for the "good-guy" law enforcement around Lawrence, KS... . that was my first stop on my way home from a visit to Ohio a couple of years ago. Left the Youngstown,OH area about 0430 and got a room in Lawrence about 1930.
