It's actually AKGriz, and what Don has posted here is correct. We are co-workers, and I for one do not appreciate your jumping to incorrect conclusions. You can whine all you want about the same IP address (we're behind the same firewall at work, so yes, we have the same IP address!), but do you bother to ask? Obviously no, you'd rather "ass-u-me".

Do you not understand what this looks like from TDR’s side of the internet? They don’t know who that IP address belongs to. They don’t know that it’s at a business or company. It would be like you and Don living in a boarding house with one telephone and I’d don’t know that it’s a boarding house. All I know is that it’s where Don lives, and that Don called me from that number. I give Don a warning and tell him not to call me again and then I get a call from the same number. Who would you imagine is calling me from that number? Now knowing what happened, the powers that be probably feel they should apologize, but for you to DEMAND an apology or else, in my opinion, is childish and doesn’t deserve an apology.

I agree, time for the political forum to go. There’s too much good here for one obscure part of the forum to ruin it. I’ll say it again, if you guys can’t own up to the fact that YOU broke the rules, if you can’t abide by the rules, no matter what someone else does, I say “Well, bye.”

I have fully accepted my actions IN THIS PUBLIC FORUM. All I ask is for the same courtesy from the powers that be when they accuse me of trickery or slight of hand. The TDR Admin have laid the rules. I broke them and have paid the price. They have also broken the rules by accusing me of trickery, aka a personal attack on my character, and now seem to have disappeared from the thread. TDR Admin also could have done minimal investigation work and looked at Dave’s information like his address and purchase history and clearly identified he and I are NOT the same person. They chose the lazy route and accused me of some sort of trickery with zero real evidence.

Come to think of it, this sure sounds like the COVID lockdown orders being applied to all parties except the leadership. Rules for thee and not for me is at play here.

Of course I understand what it LOOKS like. But all anyone has to do is ASK. And yes, I do require an apology--my "crime" was logging into my account for the first time in a long while in order to check out the politics forum at the suggestion of a friend. Do you understand what this looks like from the paying customer's side of the internet????? And then "...if you guys (note the plural here) can't own up..." What is it I'm supposed to own up to?????? I wouldn't IMAGINE anyone is calling me, I'd be man enough to answer the phone politely and ask how I could help--I'm in business to help people. You must be in the best physical shape of anyone in the forums solely from exercise in jumping to conclusions.

And making a big deal over a customer (WHO WAS MALICIOUSLY AND UNJUSTLY IMPLICATED) requesting an apology? Are you out of your mind? I guarantee if you were on this side of the internet you would do MORE than demand an apology!

This is the first time I've seen the system misidentify duplicate accounts due to such unusual circumstances. Even so, it was a bad call that I'm sorry for. I should have noted what the system told me from the start of this, and I could have avoided any misunderstanding.

I don't handle all service tickets immediately. If tickets are not subscription/renewal related they may take 1-3 days to get to, and often randomly. That ticket was submitted at 7:08 pm my local time Thursday, and when I start work on Friday I'm usually slammed.

Everyone... frankly, I think Newsa deserves an apology more than anyone, being the recipient of what started all of this. But that ball isn't in my court.

If you didn’t break any rules, then that part of my post wasn’t directed to you. The first paragraph of my post was all that was directed at you and obviously, it went right over your head. Get your panties out of a wad.

This early summer after all the political nastiness, it was spared though TDR HQ preferred it went away.
Having it go away via inactivity, strict rule enforcement and attrition was the chosen route. In hindsight, TDR's and my big mistake was hoping it would die away. It was turned off to anyone not active in it for 6 months. No one remarked about it going away for months, so apparently for the vast majority didn't care.

Last straw. TDR owners do what they like, but the constant changes and, more importantly, no heads up on the changes, no note left behind (like there used to be) that a post was edited or deleted, members being banned or run off, all disrespect the membership. I had wondered why I couldn't get to the politics section. Was it my browser? Was the entire forum taken down by management again? I hadn't posted since April, but read the forum often. Now the truth comes out that it was an intentional act done in secret. Enough for me. Please delete my account as I do not want to be a part of a forum that is run this way.

This thread is a prime example of why politics shouldn’t be allowed on this site. I believe the politics forum was here from back when you could talk politics like gentlemen. It has since become very nasty and divisive. This is a truck forum where we have one thing in common we can come together on. Throw in the extremely nasty world that talking politics has become and this is what happens. There are more than ample forums you can talk politics on and waste your time until you are blue in the face to someone else about your view, and not change theirs. More of a waste of time than sitting on the couch on sundays and watching football! Damage has been done, politico forum is gone, time to heal and come back together as one talking about our beloved Ram CTD’s! Move on folks!

Don't fell alone, I was banned with no warning that I am aware of. Got put in time out for a week and came back to find I no longer had access to the political area. In the mean time most of my post have found to be pretty spot on regarding what has occurred in the country.

I agree, but that only works IF people don't PM the admin everytime their feelins' is hurt, which from the sounds of it must happen pretty frequently. I'd get tired of dealing with that too.

I think the POLITICAL FORUM has gone "MIA", I know as of yesterday I was not banded from the POLITICAL FORUM since I went into that section SAT. Jan 09, 2021. The last time I posted in that section was mid-Dec. To say that I was stepping away from one political thread. Since than I have not seen anything new posted until a couple of days ago but I did not respond to that post. I checked today and it is gone for me, on the Forums page!
