My truck towed a 30,000 Pound Gooseneck (trailer only) since new. I inherited the truck at ~69,600 miles.

70,000 miles, truck ran fine. I put a Fuel Pressure Gauge on it and showed a whopping 1PSI at idle with a full tank of fuel.

Took it into the dealer, free replacement of lift pump, and free vacumming of the interior.

400 miles later warrenty replaced TPS

500 miles after TPS, Dieing VP44. Missing/Smoking/Stumbling Free VP44 replaced under warrenty.

80,000 Miles put a PE COMP, and DD1's making ~375RWHP

82,~~~ Replaced original clutch with SBC Con OFE

84,000 Miles, truck running perfect.

LWB versus SWB

I would be interested in seeing if there is any correlation between distance from lift pump to tank and rate of failure.

My lift pump started heading south around 16. 5K, hope to have the pusher in tomorrow and maybe keep the factory pump alive.
