Unless people state what parts and whose parts they used what difference does the total matter?

I have not voted yet!!

Sorry, I just thought of something, even if we state what we put in as far as parts, how are we going to match the dollars spent to the parts in our posts?

In a way I say " What's the point?"

I spent $15K (including trade-in) for the truck and the trany was included for free.

I plan to spend around 2K for an upgrade.

The point of this was to give some folks an idea what an auto costs to upgrade. During all the nasty auto upgrade posts, price is often left out. And just looking at prices on the products websites isn't including labor and instilation, which is quite a bit.

You need to start a new thread and ask for the costs you are missing. Like you said you know what the parts are going to cost you from the DTT and ATS web sites. Now you want to know what people have paid for install and what they had installed. This will help you know your total costs and also what others have paid. With the outcome being, when you look for an installer you don't pay to much for their service. I would also think you would want to ask for recommended installers in your area??

Just curious, but has anyone installed the parts themselves? I'm a mechanic by trade, and not afraid to tackle any project. Just wondering if anyone else has already done it.
