Geez! I didn't say you had to READ it. Just look at the poll numbers! I didn't even read beyond the first page of whining! :-laf

What's interesting to contemplate is whether you'd find even 27% of us who'd rather have a 6. 0 powerstroke! I doubt you could even get 10%.

Over 72% of them would like to have a Cummin(g)s. Ferd can't be happy about that.

Try it - I bet you if you asked us dodge guys how many of us would prefer a 6. 0 in our trucks, I don't think you'd get more than 1or2%! And the small percentage that would want a 6. 0 were proly drunk when they voted!

the big question is were these guys all drunk when they bought their trucks. I mean if they all voted for cummins, whats the big deal, buy the dodge. Oh yeah I forgot these guys must of been hypnotized by the Ford god and would have been scutinzed by buying a truck with a real diesel motor in it. Enough said. Let them complain. And most of them payed more than we did!!!! :--) :--)

There was a thread on hear about simplicity, well simplicity in this case is that we are light years ahead of the other guy. There is no comparison.

LOL I wasn't knocking you for posting the link, I was just trying to spare you all from reading the dribble that I had just read. :-laf

From an owner of multiple Cummins and Fords I can tell you why the Ford guys buy Fords.

Plain and simple, the cab space.

I think when the Mega Cab comes out you will have a million people covert to the Cummins.

The shameful part of the whole problem is that the 6L is actually a good performing engine. It gets good mileage and makes plenty of power. It pulls great and has lots of low end torque. If they could just make them less buggy then everyone would be fine. I amnot trying to talk you into liking the 6L, but other than some bugs that seem to never go away you should give it a little credit. After all I know of some 04. 5-05 trucks that seem to have never ending injector issues, although the % is a lot less.

So get ready on this site when the Mega Cab is released, there will be a lot of new members!

Wrong question. Try: if you could have the Cummins in any make or body style... .....

Make mine a 3/4 ton 4x4 Suburban or whatever clever  name GM calls the suburban now. Heck, while we're dreaming, make it a 1 ton Sub. Too bad Dodge never offered a fullsize SUV with the CTD.

that would be the ultimate rig, something in comparison to the excursion. 1 ton axles, seating for 8 and the grunt of the cummins to tow a house, oh and a nv5600 transmission to boot.

Hrmm, wonder why those 72% put up with the PS. Do they really think the body and chassis is that much better?

I had two F-350's with the crewcab. The only thing I miss is the extra room. FWIW, the seats in my dodge sit a lot better than my last Ford.

I just got rid of my Excursion a couple of months ago because after spending tons of money on a kick *** transmission and little mods,... . the auto still had its own mind and fought me every step of the way. If I had the disposable cash, the ultimate would have been a 3rd gen CTD with NV5600 transplanted in it with a real Dana 60 front and I would probably own the Excursion until the day I died. It was awesome on the highway and plowed through water and snow like nothing I've ever owned before and could load up half the house inside. Maybe someday, But I do love this inline 6 5. 9L with the NV5600 and if that powertrain was offered in the Ford, I'd have a serious delimna.
