My rubber shock bushings on my bilsteins are shot. Has anyone found a polyurethane replacement for the front top bushings that go into the shock towers?

You know when I took my BIKSTIEN's off I found out why there had been a CLUNKING noise from the front. The top shock mount rubber bushings were shot, and allowed the inner metal peice to contack the shock mounting bracket. These allowed the shock to move around and strike with every bump. The other one was almost worn thru. There are a few companies that I know of that sell poly top shock mounts.

Hope these help, for some reason they do not make many products for thr dodge.

I might have

Some poly bushings in my stock pile somewhere that might fit your Bilteins, Let me know if you can't find anything and I'll look around and see what I can come up with... ... .

Got the T-Shirt!

Mine did the same thing in just one year. I believe that the cause was that I did not tighten the upper mount nut all the way down to where it contacted the inner sleeve. ORW was not forthcoming with much help, so I contacted a local shop and the guy there gave me a set of Rancho poly bushings. I was able to fit them to the Bilstiens (they were just a bit too tall) and haven't heard a clunk since. I have been using the truck quite heavily and hard the last five weeks and am convinced that I should not have any further problems.

I just wish that the instructions with the Bilstiens had been better.
