A buddy of mine called and asked if I could haul his broke down PowerStroke. Well, buddies being as they I are, I said suuuuuuuuuuure ... ... ... ... ... . as soon as I get my camera :-laf :D

Well, I have been there with my former Powerstroke..... AND this truck (at only 5400 miles :confused: ); so, I'm not laughing.

That is very nice picture :-laf I hope you took the long way through town! :D :D

I actually drug him through a couple counties :-laf

But, in all fairness, he's had some bad luck with that truck.

I love hooking to a trailer, just thought there was a bit of irony here :D

Is that one of those new 05's on your trailer? If it is, what happened?

Mike

It looks to be an early 99 as the PSD badges are on the front of the fender instead of on the doors.

Good pic , but can't help but feel bad for him. It sucks to have break down ,and get towed by a rival truck.

He just had a complete rebuild this past summer. He lost a turbo which apparently leaked oil into a couple cylinders and hydrauliced them. Needed new pistons for those holes, a couple injectors, a turbo and all new rings and bearings ... ... ... ... ... ... ... now this :eek:

This seems to be maybe a cam position sensor, or something a little more minor, but a pain regardless.

Not just Furd's need a tow..... this is what happened to me out in the middle of Eastern Oregon with only 16K miles on my new '01! :{

But... ... .....

The dealership in Burns had my lift pump changed in less than 1/2 an hour - ON A SATURDAY - and I was on my way again. Oo.
