More FASS Questions

my stainless honeycomb arrived today. I also got a piece of aluminum, but I'm going to use the stainless. I just gotta trim it to size and build a frame for it. not sure exactly how I'm gonna build the frame. I've got a pic in my head, but not sure if I've got everything I need in the garage (trying to keep cost as close to $0 as possible! ;) :D :p )

I think to get the laminar flow desired the thickness with 1/4" cells needs to be 5 times the cell dia. or 1 1/4"

Forrest:

PM me if necessary, but I have been looking for materials like that for a LONG time. Where did you get it from?

Haven't found much online that had pictures of what I was looking at as far as specs... I'm specifically looking for perforated plastic kinda like that stuff... .

I've read that as well, but even at this thickness, it seems to really redirect the air big time...

Matt, shoot me a PM. I can't reveal my sources, but I can probably point you in the right direction. ;)

"Puff Puff Give"

Study your fluid mechanics some more:D :D

I don't mean to poke fun but you are risking a $5000+ engine for $129 (cost of TAG to TDR members). All this for a part that will give minimal benefits. Your risk and your truck but I don't think the risk justifies the gain.

BTW I have a HX-40X18cm I will sell you when yours ends up between the intake valve and seat.

Seriously I don't want to see a fellow 12valver lose an engine over something that overs the small benefits of a TAG. If you can't afford a real TAG you can't afford the play if you know what I mean.

BS...

I've got about $250 in my turbo... $50 in my HX40 downpipe... people told me if I didn't have the $1000+ for an HX40 package that I couldn't afford to play...

heck, I've got less than $7500 in my entire truck...

don't hate the player, hate the game!!
