Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) poor mileage and power

i know that this is like beating a dead horse. i've searched all the threads.



but i want to hear it from yall on my case:

i've been getting really poor mileage-i suspect its timing. does anyone in the dallas area have the tools and knowledge to do this



put a fuel pressure gauge on couple weeks ago. 20 at idle and 20 at 2k rpms

i know its low. i suspect its the lift pump. ticking sound coming from the fuel tank area!!



i have 10psi of boost at hwy speeds but no power



plate is home ground, star wheel turned up, ddp75's, new overflow valve, new pre-filter and fuel heater removed. :-laf



my fuel filter is due to change in 700 miles(i change it every 10k)

If changing the fuel filter doesn't work do another fuel pressure test. 20 psi is minimum for supply side to p7100. Fuel pressure not going up when you increase rpm suggest lift pump or overflow valve.

When you do fuel pressure test squeeze return fuel line with pliers if pressure goes up its the overflow valve if doesn't go up or goes up slowly its the lift pump.
