Pop-up ads at the bottom

What's up with the pop-up ads that are at the bottom of the screen now when you go into a thread?

I HATE pop-ups.....

I'm not sure how these can be displaying since its been longer than I can recall offhand since changes were made to ad settings.

TDR members should only be receiving an ad at the top. I've logged in with a test account and viewed about 50 threads with no pop-ups. I tried both mobile and desktop browsers and can't replicate this. If you can click the little green arrow on the top right of the ad (most ad companies have these) it should tell you who is serving the ad. If it's not from our ad network than it might be malware on your browser (usually a browser addon or plugin).

It's not doing it now, but it was earlier today. I'm on a Windows 10 PC running Chrome. They were like this one I have outlined in red at the bottom. There's a tab on the left you have to click to collapse it.

There have always been ads at the top half of the page.

I'm unable to track it down, or find a solution without additional data because I can't replicate it.

Have you checked for malware and/or browser extensions you don't recognize?

What differences are there in browser extensions between the computer that has those bottom ads and those that don't? Are both logged in with TDR member accounts?

Can you click the arrow on the top/right of the ad to have it tell you who is delivering the ad?

Something has changed the last 2-3 days. I’ve never had drop-down ads on my phone before.

I’m not talking about the normal ads at the top of every page, but rather drop-down ads at the top of the screen that are persistent.

Now the mystery ads are alternately showing up top (not the permitted ads) and bottom of the page.
Google claims the AdChoices are based on personal interests by ads previously visited. Never been to Men's Wearhouse, Toyota, Ashley, or some, uh, rather well enhanced, curvaceous figures, almost painted on clothes that leave not much to the imagination, complete with some "unknown art-looking" items that may be fancy "toys". Not sure what to make of it.
Tried to change the Google settings but keep running into a "your system is too slow" to process through whatever program they use. I do not have this issue with other websites... to my current knowledge.

The issue has been found and resolved. Although no changes were made by TDR, Google's Adsense decided to do an automatic revenue "experiment" on a percentage of visitors to see if it made more money. We've had auto-experiments turned off, it looks like they turned it back on. I've disabled it and these ads should disappear within an hour or so.

I'm not sure what's going on with the mobile top ad, since the Google experiment said it was only testing page anchor ads, but hopefully blocking experiments stops those too.

For the past few days I have been receiving pop-up ads smack in the middle of the page when going from one thread to another...Very annoying to be overlayed, right in your face on the page.

Now I can't duplicate the issue...It hs happened at least a couple times today. It seems to occur randomly, then stop happening. Then later it pops up again.
I will try to log what steps I take and get the issue for future events.

Ugh they turned on "experiments" again though I had turned it off. I've turned it off again, and will reach out to their support about it.
