I have noticed that when I make a slow-speed right hand turn across unlevel ground, like pulling into a raised driveway or such, that something on the right rear side of the truck makes a popping noise. Just a single loud "Pop", seems to come from underneath. When the truck levels out, it does not make another pop though.

The frames on these trucks are not great under twisting forces, maybe something is actually loose and getting flexed enough to bind up and then pop free. I have looked around under there and can't find anything obvious. Any of you guys noticed this sort of thing before?

i ve hear one on mine, check out your sway bar in the front end, i know it sounds like the back, but mine was snapping and needed to be replaced, maybe it is just a loose bed bolt too, hope you find it.

Had this happen on a 98 that I had. Dealer went in and where the bed connected to the frame and put a washer between the bed and frame. Problem cured... .
