Well, when it comes to diesel's our family has been a Cummins one. Starting in '93 w/ a 3/4 4x4. Dad then bought a new 98 4x4 1-ton and then later a 99 4x4 3x4 ton. Since he's a farmer/rancher, he usually has a trailer tied to one of them. Several years back he sold the '92 and now he has been driving the 3/4 and letting the hired hands use the 1-ton. Well the other day his vp-44 went out on the 3/4 ton and he took it up to the dealer and they fixed it. While he was there he was looking at new ones. He knows a lot about diesels, but doesn't fart with the performance stuff. He hasn't ever turned any of the trucks up. Well since I did mine, he likes it. So today he picked up a new '05 1-ton 4x4. They gave him $9500 for his worn out 240K mile 98. He called me to tell me and then asked about gauges and chips and ..... Well you know. So after the 36K mile mark, either the BDDL or possibly the TST will be added. He doesn't want a new clutch or turbo or anything like that, but does want something extra. Gotta love when you can corrupt your pops. Oo.

Wow Landon I figure your dad would be at "awe" by the horsepower and torque of the stock 325/610 compared to his stock 98 and no added chip would be needed.

Is the warranty on the engine still the same 7/100K or has it changed to 3/36. You said after the warranty is up the performance box will be added.

I sent you a PM the other day did you receive it.

He is in "awe" of the stock power, but he has driven my TST'ed 555 and he was like DAMN. He has the 7/70 warranty, but he figures after 36K anything that could go majorly wrong will. He accepts the fact that if he adds a chip, he becomes the warranty station.
