Going to fly to SD Ca then drive to Port Orchard WA and back by wednesday. Any hint's as to road conditions. Dam I like a challenge. Picking up U. S. Navy BIO DIESEL. from WA to SD. Some wouldn't lite there trash pile with the stuff but their precious NAVY, run's it in ships. Must not be TO BAD THEN :-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf Only thing better is if they RUN ADDITIVE :-laf:-laf:-laf See Ya Ill bring back a copy of BOL :-laf:-laf

Alaska Airlines is now using bio diesel in 75 of their planes. Rather be on a boat than the airplane with the bio.

BG, I thought you retired. Are you on a "bussman's vacation" ?

Ya some vacation. Im just helping out an old pard. We spent 27 years sharing a truck and when we were let go he bought his own(5). It is BIO DIESEL. KINDA? It's an algae bio and bio mix no refinery involved (like the petro kind)

We are at a truck scale in Santa Nella Ca waiting for some Lt Commander to flex his authority. Seem's like the state of Ca dont like it when we dont have to stop at there scale's. :-laf:-laf.

We have been here for about 3 hours and the Kid of my buddy hooked us up on his computer via a cell phone  What will they think of next. I have problems just turning on the one at home. :-laf

Tractorat I have been to WA many times but I have only been to one place in the world that has rained like this. Port Orchard is a hell hole rain so hard that the dock that we were loading on was a lake. Cold enough to freeze the pumps that were loading the trucks.

Dont anyone take offence to this but with the Navy involved in the mix it has turned out to be one of the BIGGEST CLUSTER F'S I have ever been involved with.

The Fuel's Officer asked how many gallons do you want to put on the truck? My Buddy was never very good at this. I asked he guy what does it weigh? He said what's the difference you dont have to worry about scales. I dont care about scales I just dont want to overload the truck and crash because someone has no idea how much this I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER weigh's. The Lt Commander said to weigh the I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER and quit telling him how to do his job. It weigh's the same as Diesel. We told him to load 6600 gal in my trailer and 6200 in the other's. As stupid as he looked he ask in what compartment  The trailers only have one so it makes it pretty easy.

Talking to the commander this stuff cost's 45 dollars a gallon so its cost to the Tax paying folks is over 800 k for the 3 trucks thats half of what the pure non mix algae cost is. Sorry to say that there is no ADDITIVE in the stuff so I could rub it in to the non believers.

I hope this turns out im putting up some pics of the CLUSTER

Cant wait to get this down to SD so they can drop this load and go home. Ive had enough fun . And to think at one time I could and did turn WA 2 times in 7 days. Getting old I guess. It takes some of the fun out of it when you dont have log books and scales to worry about.

Wasn't it the algie based bio diesel they were talking about maybe a year ago that they said they could sell for less than a buck a gallon ? Now thats inflation.

I think he meant $45/gal. Remember, it is the government that is buying it. Remember the $500 hammer ? Also, I think I heard that the bio jet fuel that Alaska Airlines is putting in their planes is $17/gal. So, I believe the $45/gal.

Right now it's 45 a gal. I have a book that one of the makers of this gave me. The big problem with it was that it took feedstock to get it going. But once that was done it would reproduce at a super high rate. The 45 a gal is because the Navy had it mixed 50/50 with Bio Diesel or the cost would have been 80 + a gal. for straight Algae diesel. Some really weird stuff. The makers have a FORD :confused:that runs the stuff and it is just like Dino Diesel as for power and mileage.

Buddy sent a pic of the unload in SD. Fun trip but dont want to do it again for a while. HB told me a long time ago that I would have to ease into retirement. Well I must be easing into it because for the first time that I can remember I DONT WANT TO GO TRUCKIN
