What a difference 30 years makes!!!

Rather than mess up the first table saw post, I thought I would start this one.

I have a Dewault 10" saw which has worked very well for me. I would recommend anyone in the market for a portable, to take a look at this one. The fence is superb for a portable. This is coming from someone who is not necessarily a Dewault fan.

Caveat! I would pass on the stand. Go for one of the portables like maybe the MobileMax 10 or make your own.

I got the same saw and like you said the fence is awesome. But, mine is in the shop getting fixed under warrenty:mad:, I had the thing for about 2 months and the arbor/bearing assembly is shot. I don't mind the stand though, it came free with my saw.

You could build cabinets accurately (albeit limited) with this saw but mostly, I have been using mine for construction. It has split a lot of pressure treated and white oak.
