Can anyone recommend a shop to install a South Bend clutch in my 2500 4x4? Since I've got 100k+ on my stock clutch, I'm sure the flywheel will need to be resurfaced too.

Since you're so close to Canada.....

Why don't you drive up to see the man himself, Piers, for the install?:D :D

Just a thought... .

It would be great to have Pier's work on my truck!! However, he's about 300 miles away, plus I'd be too tempted to have him install other things which would hurt my wallet.

My parents live in Vancouver, WA and my dad goes to Chuck Arnold at the Power Shop for most of his work. The Power Shop is in Enumclaw.

We're getting closer! Enumclaw is only 180 miles away.

However, I'm kind of looking for a place where I could drop off my truck and have the clutch replaced while I'm at work in Portland. I use up my vacation time fast enough as it is, so I hate spending a day or two of vacation time waiting someplace.

Thanks, Bob and Cliff!

Actually Rip would probably be a good place to talk to. I've already been thinking about one of his exhaust systems. Maybe I could get it in and have both the clutch and exhaust done at the same time!

Don't know about the Clutch Doctor. I tend to shy away from places with "Doctor" as part of the name :)

It'll be a little while before I spend the bucks on clutch and exhaust. Got to build my bank account back up. I just spent about a third of my truck's original cost to get 10hp! But then "Otto" horsepower costs a lot more than "Cummins" horsepower.

Cliff - I got a 10hp Otto sideshaft (pre 1920) engine in Montana last weekend. Actually since the last time you were at my place I've added several engines. Added a 7hp Stickney (1912) and a 15hp Ingeco sideshaft (pre 1915), a 5hp Galloway (1910), and a 5hp flutted hopper Aermotor. No wonder I don't have money for further bombing at the moment!
