I am in need of a good mechanic in the New Braunfels, TX area. I drove down to Texas from Colorado last night and when I arrived in New Braunfels, my truck started to sound funny and idle rough. When I pulled into my parents driveway, I noticed fluid pouring onto the driveway. It was dark last night, so I have not had a chance to see where the fluid was coming from. The only thing I noticed was that there was fluid on the inside of the hood and the upper radiator hose was soft and no fluid in it. I will check more today, but I need a good mechanic or shop in the New Braunfels area ASAP. I have to drive back to Colorado on Sunday and need this fixed...whatever it is. I can post more info later as I make some discoveries.

Thanks for the help!!

Kevin

If fuel, it is probably a crack in #4 injection line. If antifreeze, it is probably the water pump. I hope you have been monitoring egt with those fueling increases.

I would not go to the dealership unless you have a money tree in the back yard. Most Stealerships are the same when it comes to these trucks and your pocketbook. The "Jack of all trades Dealerships" usually charge much more for lesser quality work. If they get it right! Most of the trucks coming out the oil fields that I see, use the small shops that only work on diesel trucks. They could go where ever the choose with the money they are making. IMO, if dealerships were so great, the small shops for Diesel trucks would be hurting for business.

In New Braunfels, I would try these guyshttp://www.centexdiesel.com/index.php or these guys in San Antonio http://alloutperformancediesel.com/

I'm writing in to subscribe to the thread..... I'm about 5 hours away at my shop.... Little far to help much, but I'll monitor the chatter to see if I can help with diagnosis. Need to know what fluid is on the ground....

Wait, this was posted the 10th? Has the issue been found and resolved?
