I have a 95, auto,4X4, with 101K miles, and pretty much straight stock. Early last week I noticed that my E-brake light and ABS lights would stay on, and then after a couple of short trips would go out again. I was ready for new brakes which I had done at the end of the week. First symptom of a problem occurred after the weekend when about every third or fourth time I used the brakes I would get a shuttering that would be similar to that which would be experienced when driving on a wash board roadway. This morning all was OK for a few miles down the highway at 60 M. P. H. when a minor shuttering started and grew in severity. I applied brake pressure and it became worse. I pulled off the road to check if anything was visibily wrong, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. I continued my trip and even though some shuttering was felt, it seemed better. At the next stop I made, I disconnected the ABS plug-in at the master cylinder, however the problem is still there, but again just comes and goes. I have an appointment Wednesday morning with the Mechanic that did the brakes, but I was wondering if any of you out there might offer some ideas on what it may be. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a stuck caliper or caliper pins hanging up. This will cause the caliper get hot enough to warp and cause the shudder. Next time it does it, stop the truck and feel the wheels near the hub. Be careful, it will be hot. Check one side against the other.
