I'm running #3 on the smarty. When it's stone cold, i'll start it up and the temps jump and stabilize at 275. That seems kind of high to me. Also, after I've been running it, I'll usually stop and let it cool for a couple minutes but rarely see it drop below 350 even after 5 minutes of idle. I'm not having any temp problems while i'm in motion. I stay well below 700 most of the time while in motion. Is this normal?

ENG temp? do you mean EGT's?

Your numbers are well with in normal ranges. Mine idels around 300 in P or N (after cool down) but it stays above 350 in gear.

Thats pretty normal. FYI, it takes a minimum of 425 degrees to stop wet stacking on an idling engine. As you see without high idle long idle times would not be a good thing.
