Hey guys,
Shrimpy, Gitchesum, and I attended the HAPS (Houston Area Power Strokes) meeting today at M & D Injection here in Houston. Talk about a nice shop with all kinds of diagnostic tools, pump and injector test and calibration equipment, etc. !
Thanks to the HAPS guys for inviting us, and thanks to Jim, Bruce, Wayne, and Monte (and several others that I can't remember their names - sorry guys) from M & D for hosting this event. Banks (Peter) attended and gave a presentation about the Powerstroke and their products for them. Racor (OEM for Ford) attended and had several filtration systems, etc. for display.
OK, back to the subject, I am discussing with Jim Garner (M & D Sales Manager) a similar type of event catered to us Dodge folks some time in the future. I think everyone would really enjoy it and be really impressed with what they can do for us. I was thinking mostly just a show and tell kind of event with plenty of BS'ing time. They don't have a dyno . . . Yet! While talking with one of the owners the subject of getting a dyno (that would fit all of our trucks) did come up. That would be the icing on the cake for this shop. Also, they will be starting to do rebuilds, etc. , of our VP44's in the near future (end of the summer).
So, by a show of hands, errr . . . I mean posts, how many guys (or gals) think they would like to attend such an event??? It would most likely be on a Saturday, from around 9am to 1 or 2pm. Can't give a date yet as I have to get back with Jim in a week or so to discuss this - but would NOT be within the next month or so.
