Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "leak" but I've been noticing when I change my oil that there appears to be some seepage around the oil pan's gasket - I've really only noticed it at the front of the pan. My truck is never low on oil and it doesn't drip any at all. There are never any oil drips where my truck has been parked.

Could this just be blowby from the crankcase vent getting the front of my engine wet? The other componets usually look damp but the top of the oil pan is the only place that it looks like it accumulates.

Thanks for the help.

Ck the oil pan bolts and make sure they are tight. I forget what the torque spec is but somebody will know. On my sons 99 most of his needed to be retightened but it still seeps from the front of the oil pan like you describe. He has around 150000 on his. It does not drip any.

Mine did the exact same thing and I just went and "snugged" the pan bolts up ( sorry, don't have the tq. #, just don't go crazy on them) and it fixed the leak. Hope this helps.
