OK guys im starting to look into a new option. How about Twin Turbo on my new 03... id like to have around 550 rwhp

1) i want 550 rwhp. What turbos do i use?

2) I dont want to blow head gaskets everyday so i dont want the PSI WAY TOO HIGH.

3) Cam Ideas?

4) How much? who makes this already?

Thanks

Just curious, but have 3 questions:

Where would you mount the second turbo?

Can the existing intercooler handle two turbos?

How will you tie it into the the single exaust?

I was talking to a service tech in August about maximum HP and he said reprogramming can get you at least 500 HP, but who knows how it affects the longevity of the engine and engine parts.

Power is closely related to boost in these engines. I'm guessing your going to likely be looking at the high 40's or better to see that rear wheel twist. That would put you in the marginal area if not past the point you would need to consider O-ringing the head. You don't need to twin for that power level by what I am hearing once you look at stacking box's, injectors and an appropriate turbo. Having said that I know that Piers just put together a twin setup for one fellow and talking to BD I know they also had something they were working up. If I recall right I read somewhere or other that Bully Dog had a setup running quite a while back. I'm sure others will chime in with other sources. Diesel Dynamics is currently testing cams in the 03 and I have heard of a couple of others who are working on that also although I cant recall who off hand.
