Got a new Ram

Oh come on! This is a diesel site the best I can remember, right? Put it in the "Other" forum if you can't contain yourself. I think we've got more than enough forums as it is.

Geez, someone get up on the wrong side of the bed??

If we get the forum, I'll be sure to see if you post there...

The political forum has everything to do with diesel...

I like the idea. As long as it doesn't turn into a "Look how much money I can throw around" contest. I dont see how having another forum hurts this site as long as their not too obscure.

I really don't see us doing that. Robert and Robin want to keep the site as focused as possible. The other forum is our catch all for stuff outside of the truck world. The political forum was created specifically to solve a problem - many users didn't want to read the political stuff so we seperated that off by itself so that they wouldn't have to read it if they didn't want to. We do the same when there is a major disaster that brings up a ton of discussion - 9/11 & Katrina being the two that I can recall. In those cases people can have true problems coping with it long term and therefore by splitting it off they can avoid it if necessary. JMHO on it but I'll make Robin aware of your request.

Sports Forum

Since we have the Other Forum and the Political Forum, let's hold off from adding any other non-technical or diesel truck forums at this time.

I sincerely appreciate your taking the time to offer your idea for improving the website, and I hope this will not discourage you or others from keeping the ideas rolling in.

Thank you again.

I agree. This is an automotive site. If a new forum were to be created, I would like to see it related towards vehicles.

A while back I suggested the possibility of an "Other than Diesel Automotive Forum.

There are many very knowledgeable folks here in diesels AND gassers. Right now, if a member has a question pertaining to automobiles but NOT diesel oriented, they must post it in the "Other" forumn. I would wager that there are many auto expert folks who do not peruse the Other forum as it does not interest them even though a forthrigtht question about gasoline automobiles may lurk there.

There may be folks who could help a member reagarding vehicles other than diesel, but never see the post because it lives in the "Other" forum.

Just an idea.

That makes sense. I would definately subscribe to that thread.

I'll ask Steve to get this forum set up asap... .

OK... I see where members are already posting to an "Other Vehicles" forum (as showing up in new posts), but it is not listed under the "Discussion Forums" (pull down)/ "Main Directory" (slide out) as accessed from the top of the home page?? ... (it is from this pull down/ slide- out that I go to the forums that I specifically want to read. )

How do I access the new forum?

Oops, forgot to add it to the drop down menu (I'll do it now) but if you go to the main forum screen you'll see it listed there with all the other forums.
