Hello All,

I haven't been on the forums in a while because I have been having a blast out driving my new :-laf 95 4X4 CTD. ( after the bombs it was a completely different truck. ) After logging some miles behind this monster I have a few questions.

1. With all the Bombs in my Signature I am putting out so much black smoke I can't see the road behind me. :--) I like smoke as much as anyone, but I think this is a bit much. what is the secret to getting the smoke level down a little bit? more air? (See question below. )

2. If I am driving it lightly around town with the OD engaged, the turbo gives a massive surge when it drops into OD and the DC converter Locks up. If I keep the RPM's up, it doesn't do this. I am guessing this is normal with such a big turbo. I have been told that this turbo is possibly too big, but the WOT Egads are still too high, so how can this be too big?

3. in Ref to #2 I am thinking of going to twins with the 64/14 as the 'big' turbo. Is this a good idea? what would you all suggest as a good compromise between towing and performance?

i think that turbo would be a little laggy for twins. i would look at a 62/14 instead. i guess it all depends on what you do with the truck.
