Well I finally got around to doing the standard 3 gauge install and have a few last issues that I couldn't find answers searching the 3g forum.
The boost gauge occasionally buzzes or chatters. The few times it did this the boost was around 25 psi. I didn't notice if occurs only at a particular rpm. Anybody else get this and is it typical? Is it from pulsations caused by the intake valves opening and closing? It can’t be good for the gauge, so I’m thinking about replacing a section of the 1/8" plastic tubing with larger diameter tubing to act as a reservoir to dampen the pulses somewhat. Sound reasonable?
The tee for the transmission sensor in the supply line rests against the return line. Looks like the lines move around quite a bit judging from the rub marks made by the plastic clip holding the two lines lower down. I did the Mcmaster compression fitting to mount the sensor, but I was wondering if the kits have the lines bent to get some clearance or do they put something, like plastic, between them to keep them from rubbing or do they just let em rub?
Now onto the #@$%! turbo saver. Does anybody make the stock ign switch wiring connector? If not, can the actual metal spades, or whatever they are called, that insert into the plastic connector body be purchased?
