I have a 1997 RAM 2500 with 137,000 miles. I had the brakes done and front rotors turned 9,000 miles back for a pulling and shake problem when braking. Now my problem is back. It feels like a warped rotor. I would like to know if there is a better quality aftermarket rotor designed to run cooler, or if I should just stick to a new Dodge replacement?

The rotors were taken off when turned. I don't know of anyone in my area that turns them on the truck (I had hear that is a better way).

Any sources or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I got replacements from NAPA. They carry two grades, the more expensive being US made. Did the brakes last spring, no warpage yet. I would have to look it up but I am thinking they were 90/each.

Brembo rotors from http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/index.jsp are great rotors with the best price you'll find. Dodge rotors are good but overpriced.

The reason turning warped rotors doesn't last long is because the warped area becomes thinner conducting heat differently than the thicker areas, heat differences will tend to cause it to warp again.

I had the same problem with my rotors; replaced them twice in 80,000 miles. I bought EGR (TDR Link) slotted rotors and pads; no more problems.
