Posting photos help??

I am new to the forum and would like to know how to post photos properly. I searched through the Forum topics with no luck. I cannot find enough detail in the sign on page FAQ. I know how to upload them, etc. but how do you get the rotation right? The rotation is correct on my laptop and then I upload them a they are rotated.

Sent the webmaster a note but I think someone is filling in at the moment and the answer I got was incomplete.

cropping them??

Looks like if you crop the photos to "square" and then upload them, they do not rotate. Surely there is a way around this??
