Anyone know the correct spec for one of these that I can pick up at radioshack?

I can use the smaller ones (like the one that comes with the Diprocol gauges). I plan on putting the pot between the stock dimmer and the 2 after market gauges if that makes a difference in spec.

Hey Jason,

Whenever I have used after market gauges, I tap into the panel light circuit after the dimmer and all the dash gauges dim at the same time. If you want to just dim the new gauges, get a rheostat that will handle the current and heat.

What specs on a rheostat? I have one, but it gets real hot.

I am using the dimmer switch in the dash, but the after market ones are just a bit to bright, so I wanna dim them a bit more after the dimmer as dimmed them.

Might try a lower wattage bulb in the guages. If you can't find it at an auto parts store, try a motorcycle shop. If they can't help you PM me and I'll see what I can find for you.
