I tried a Dr Performance Stage II 85hp/160fpt for 04. 5 600. The box was a fuel pressure/boost fooling box only. It added the power it claimed, however it made the truck idle and run very rough and noisy. No adjustment options. Did not like the overall effect or driveability. Returned it. Some of the newer DR boxes seem to be adjustable, dont know anything about them.
I then tried a Juice/Attitude. This box was much easier on the engine. No rough idle or running. No high EGTs or execessive boost. Simple operation, lots of monitoring and adjustability. Seemed to supply advertised HP/Torque. I really liked this box. I do have one problem with it. The "Transmission Setup" option, Transmission Lockup and Transmission slip monitoring does not work correctly on my truck. Edge informed that this has been identified. The cause is the I have had my computer reprogrammed by the dealer for oversized tires. This is something they are working on. I will wait and see what they come up with. Everything else on the Juice/Attitude works very well.
I now have a XZillaraider race 130hp/230fpt max box on the truck. This box also appears to work very well. No monitoring, but adjustability is simple click the knob. I like this box fine so far.
I am waiting on the Juice/Attitude HOT upgrade and will try that box again. Hopefully they will solve the transmission monitoring issue, this is a feature that I really wanted.
Those are just my experiences. There are at least 4 or 5 other manufacturer's products available. Dont think I can afford too many more experiments.
