This weekend my power door locks started locking the truck on their own. It's like someone is continually hitting the door lock switch. I had to pull fuze 13 to stop it. Could not get the truck to run with that fuze pulled.

Anyone have experience with this problem?

Moving this to the 2nd gen forum. We want to keep this section just for those that have a truck that is out of commission that way it doesn't get too cluttered - hence the 911 name. For problems that are more of an annoyance, etc please post them in the regular forums. Thanks in advance.

Dr. Kayak,

Just experienced this problem myself for the second time last week. . after a big rain and washing the truck. Let us know how the dealer responds with the TSB. I need to get mine in for the fix as well, hopefully later this week. Good luck, -Ken

Ken, The dealer's service manager was actualy happy to see the TSB. He asked to keep it. He did not know what to think of my cold weather covers on the front. Hope they don't raise a big stink about my BHAF ( non-stock air filter).

The problem is moisture related for sure. Mine acted up after being out in a snow storm for 3 days. A friend had it happen to a Durango after getting his wet as well.

Got the truck back

They kept the tuck a week. Said the TSB did not apply to my VIN #. Looks like they replaced the complete door lock switch on both sides. Part #56045449-AB. The TSB says to replace the door lock cylinder switch.

I feel lucky to get the truck back without them messing up something else.

Dr. Kayak,

Sorry to hear they had your truck for the week! Mine goes in to the shop on Dec. 12th, but I'm going to drop the TSB by today. I'll post my experience. My truck is out of warranty due to mileage, so maybe they'll do just what I ask them.

At least you have your truck back, so you've got that to feel good about! -Ken
