My 95 R-3500 has been sitting on jackstands in 15 F. temps waiting for a new hub assy for 4 days:(. Installed the new hub assy, let her warm up and noticed that my power locks don't work. I had this problem once before at about the same temp. but after the cab warmed up they started working again just fine. Now I've had the truck going for 2 days and power locks still aren't working. Anybody out there have a similar cold weather problem like this?

And you didnt blow a fuse?

I have the same problem with mine. I have it narrowed down to the passenger side. I can run them up and down 100 times, then if its real cold, the right one is slow and I pop the 20a fuse. I ripped it a part, cleaned and oiled, still no help. I upped to a 25a today and seems to help (as long as the smoke dont start rolling)

DOOR LOCKS

The switch acted as if it had no power to it, like it was unplugged. I talked to a mechanic friend of mine he said on the later vehicles that only a graphite based or silicone spray should be used in the locks for lubrication as the locks would be stiff and unoperable electronically. He also said that if the truck was rust-proofed real good that there might be some tar on some of the rods and or the actuator, therfore getting vey stiff when cold. However I never did pop a fuse. Thanks for your input Hummin Cummins!!
