What modifications will add power without killing my fuel economy. I have a stock '01 with a 5-speed and I'm getting good milage (18-19mpg at 85mph)

I would like to add a fuel box and/or some injectors but I don't know what brand of box or injectors.

thanks for your help

Most of us agree that the 275 injectors will help mileage. On my truck I gained about 3mpg, the truck was young-4,000 miles.

It also gained in idle quality and power.

Some report mileage improvements with the E-Z box from Edge. Do a search for mileage and power.

BTW, If I can drive it right I can get very good mileage. Big IF!!!

55 mph will get 24-25 actual mileage but boreing for the right foot.

70-72 all day it will get 21-22.

Of course this is empty.

Pulled 8,000 # or so enclosed trailer 1400 miles and it did 14. 2 on the trip.

Would love to know how your doing it? What setting on Edge to get 21-22 mpg w/ Edge & dd#2's? Did I read that correctly? You said returned to normal power but listed the above?

I have almost identical truck to you and LOST mileage with DTT, EZ & DD#2's. Went from 19. 5 stock (best ever) empty to max empty of 18 mpg (ez set in middle)???? Never saw an increase. Anyone else have same loss or Am I doing something wrong?

I'll buy the right foot theory! After DTT rebuild I have confidence . . and recommendation from DTT... not to baby it.

BUT, My best of 18 was a test for max mpg; All Flat Tx Interstate, 70 mpg, no Cruise Control, no stopping???? (Doing a 55-60 mpg test does me no good, cause it ain't going to happen in my real world).
