Grid heater fix

I purchased the Edge Pro Comp locally about 2 weeks ago. I love it, but just a few days ago I noticed a flaw in the Comp. When I bumped the power from level 1 to a higher level, and then back down to level 1, my truck would feel like it was lunging away from me as I accelerated. To fix the problem, I just kept it on power level 1. Today I decided to call Power Edge customer service. The man I spoke to asked me to look for a sticker on the box, which would tell if it was a newer or older model. Of course it was the older model, so he said he would send me the newer version as well as a postage paid return box for the old one. You can't beat that! I will definitely do business with them in the future.

On my truck if I run any level higher than 1, then move back to one it runs like absolute crap. To avoid it I go from 5 to 1 than back to 2 and to 1 and it runs fine. I think it might be time to call edge and see if I need a new unit.

I love this thing, so I have not minded the problems switching levels.

Most of the time I run it on 2x5. The funny thing is that every time I get in the truck after the wife has been driving it - its on 5x5.

I'm guessing this question has been asked before but here goes anyway. Is the "Diesel Dynamics Ultimate Power Module" made by "Edge"? To me, it sure looks identical to the "Edge Comp". I was just currious because I don't live to far from Piers, and they sell both brands and the "DD Ultimate Power Module" is about $55 CAN cheaper. Not alot of savings, but enough to get me a boost gauge.

They're both made by Edge. DD have their own fueling/timing parameters to match their injectors bettter. Can't go wrong with either.
