. With the hot Power Edge in the off position we pulled out of the driveway, Blair P. sitten shotgun and Mike C. in the back (Performance Diesel gang). Popped the clutch in second gear and OH MAN I can already feel a big difference in the low-end horsepower. With the Pocket Dyno ready and waiting we got out to our local freeway, pulled over and waited for traffic the clear. 2ND, 3rd, 4th, 5th (love the shift thing). Pocket Dyno reads 280 HP. With the PE on level 1 (green light) we give it another try. The dyno reads 310 hp. With the PE on level 2 (yellow light) I was able the break the rear tires loose out of the hole. Clutch slipped a little in forth and a little more in fifth. Dyno reads 335 hp. OK girls, now we have the PE on the red hot level 3 (red light) and were waiting for traffic to clear, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, (clutch slips) 5th (clutch slips again)Blair says “are we at 60 mph already”

. Dyno reads 350 hp and that’s with me backing off because I was afraid of toasting my clutch. I gotta tell you guys, that was the most fun I’ve had with my paints on in a long time

. Anyway, I think that these two products complement each other very well. The DD stage III injectors give you the low-end power and it’s steady power throughout the RPM range. The Power Edge gives you a power boost at about 1400 RPM and comes on strong. The great thing about this combo is that you have the 3 power level options or you could just turn the thing off until your ready to spank some PSD’s. Can’t use all the power until I upgrade to a 16cm turbo housing and a heavy duty clutch. EGT’s were 1528 (yikes) boost was 38 psi on that last run. Cruise control is unusable with the PE on level 2 or 3 but that’s no big deal because I don’t need all that power when I’m cruising down the freeway unless I see a PSD coming up in the rear view and then it’s just a quick touch of the button and the PSD becomes a little speck in the mirror if you can see past the black cloud

. Special thanks to Blair P. for doing such a great job installing the injectors. Oh yea, I just couldn’t resist leaving the Pocket Dyno on blinking 350, 350, 350 all the way home

. Sorry for the long post but just couldn’t hold back.
