power edge ez truck died

a couple of weeks ago i got a power puck and today i go a power edge ez i hooked it up and went to test it out i got about 1/2 mile and my truck died and my check engine light came on so i got out and un hooked the ez and my truck started right back up my question is can you not have both of them hooked up at the same time or is my power edge bad and they plug into different places so i didnt think that it would hurt but maybe it does

running both boxes if they both advance the timing



My understanding is the powerpuck is similar to the VA which does increase the timing and of course the EZ also advances the timing too.



Correct me if I am wrong but I would not run both.

CPC fueling boxes

I think you exceded the fueling limit for the pump. CPC boxes should not be used in series. What happened is the pump received an out of spec (and most likely incoherent) signal, and sent an error code to the ECM, then the ECM defueled and shut the engine down.



Both boxes plug into the CAN Bus, but in different places. You set a Hard Fault in the ECM that will only be cleared by the dealer etc.



Remove one of the boxes and only run one!

I am still new at this, but maybe you want to add just a fueling box with one of them. For example the Blue box will not change timing and would work with the other box. At least thats how I understand it. Look in the classifieds and I am sure you could trade one of the boxes you have or buy a different one cheap.
