Has anyone tried to find ignition-hot power in the center console anywhere? My 2014 Megacab has the standard center console rather than the "full" console with the cigar-lighter plug in the back. I'd like to find ignition-hot power in the back of the console or in the rear seat area to put in an inverter for my kids to charge their stuff with. If I find it, can I tap into it? I figure that if some models have heated rear seats with a switch in the back of the center console, their should be pretty good power there, but with CAN-bus switching, I have no idea if the power is there, or just a "data" wire.

I had the wiring on my '04 down cold, but I'll admit that this truck has me a little intimidated...

I do believe that you can move a fuse to change the cigar lighter plug that is for the back seat to make it either ignition live or full time live. I believe it says this in the manual. But if I'm reading your statement correctly, your saying that yours doesn't have the plug in the back seat?

There is one fuse in the PDC that you can move into a secondary slot (fuse has two legs, this location has three ports). This will make the 12v socket under the lid in your center console/seat hot all the time.

Option B is to locate the fuse for the dash units, remove that fuse and put an inline fuse direct to the non powered side and to a constant hot source. I however am not sure what all is on that circuit - there may be more items than just the dash sockets.

Correct. My Laramie with the standard center console (fold up middle seat) doesn't have a rear cigar lighter outlet. I'm wondering if the wiring for that plug - where it would be - is in there anyway??

its in the storage box in the fold up seat.

Lol. So THAT's what's under all that junk I have stuffed In there. Maybe I can find the wire down inside the lower part of the console and run power to the back.

Here's what's under the lower portion of the console: I have the $120.00 CD player option (there's $120.00 that I'll never get back for an option that I'll never use!), and it's mounted inside the lower portion of the console, under the "seat". In the second photo you can see the wiring harness that runs to it - with the little bit of red wire showing where it plugs into the player. Does anyone happen to have a wiring diagram which shows which wire is the hot lead? That's gotta be a pretty "high current" lead given that it runs a CD player with a motor and a laser (Just checked it looks like fuse F67, 10 amp). If not I can find it with a lead voltmeter.
