Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) power is on and off???

Started having a problem with my truck loosing power. The motor will not accelerate, no smoke, no boost. Other times the truck screams like normal. When it is running bad it idles fine. No codes are being set. 1 month ago relocated a new lift pump on frame. FP is 13. 5 to date. Tried to disconnect EZ with same results.

Truck is a 99 with EZ, exhaust, and cold air kit.

Is the VP going south? Is there anything else to check before this expense?

The VP sounds like its seen better days allthough it could be the apps. Is there any engine codes???

No check engine light but I have not taken to see is any codes have been set.

you need to get the codes . look for the dreaded 0216. could be the apps, try a reset,cant do any harm. good luck.

Try doing a search on "dead pedal". It could be the APPS, but unfortunately it's usually the VP44 taking a dirt nap! :{

I thought that if the apps is going bad the power loss would vary from pedal position? Sometimes mine runs bad from the time I start to I get where I'm going regardless of pedal position. I'll get back in the truck and it will run normal. On occasion it will alternate from bad to get while I am driving.
