I put the power max cr on my truck,Now I have injector problems. The dealer says the chip caused the ijector to go bad. The injector washed a cylinder,Now low on compression in #6. They say I need a short block. $8500. 00 to fix problem,The chip voids warrantee. So you better think about it before you install any kind of chip. Now I have a nice truck that runs like crap. ------------------------------------------- 2004 3500 4x4 dually

Sorry to hear that, also check www.fordcummins.com

They have new engines available...

With all the injector failures on stock trucks, I hate to see you get the shaft because of a mod

Does the Power Max CR increase pressure? Or otherwise mess around with the fuel system, If it doesnt how can they legally say it screwed the injector? The edge messes with timing and duration which I dont see how it could blow and injector

any other opinons on this line of thought??

All the TST does is modify the electronic signal that the injector sees to hold it open longer. IT WILL NOT cause an injector to stick open! there is no press in the TST, just timing and duration.

Magnuson-moss warranty act. The dealer must PROVE that the aftermarket part caused the failure to void the warranty on that item.

Also, with the number of injector failures that are so common and the way that the tst makes it's power it isn't hard to see that the problem is just a bad injector.

On the other hand... U also have to prove that the TST did NOT cause the problem... Either way... It really sucks... Sry to hear bout ur truck. . I hope u get everything worked out... Just remember the TDR mantra when u start fiddling with things. . "U r ur own warranty station"

Sorry to hear about your engine.

You most likely had a bad injector from the get go and the dealer will take the easy way out and blame your TST box.

You shouldnt have taken it to the dealer with that box attached.

sorry to hear of the bad news, but i guess now you can bombs away since the engine will be out if you do it yourself, cam, pistons, balance and blueprint, port and polish, studs, o-rings, injectors, and cp3, and dont forget the big turbo or turbos, all of course for better fuel mileage Oo. i have an obd2 scan tool to remove codes, after i remove the toys, to hide obvious things from the dealer, but i guess you cant hide twins, good luck and hope they didnt void your powertrain warranty with the engine

It was the wiring harness from TST. It was bad. Thay sent a new one. It fixed that. That is what was causing the code 0299

I you have an edge juice/attitude or similiar and it doesnt throw any codes... . is it still detectible by the dealer? Do they just see you went over stock boost numbers or something?

you can check your codes by cycling the key on and off ending in the on position 3 times and it will show the codes, as far as i know, the average dc wannabe mechanic goes, i dont think he can tell it has been chipped, or even has extrude honed or aftermarket injectors. .
